Styles
A growing set of named UI aesthetics, each broken down into the parameters that define it.
Warm Tech
Cream backgrounds, serif type, and earthy palettes — a reaction to a decade of sterile white interfaces, built on the visual language of print, paper, and things that exist outside a screen.
Post-Sterile, Organic Digital
OS-thetic
Status bars, title bars, draggable windows and retro scrollbars: the visual language of operating systems, brought into the browser.
Desktop Core, Windowed UI, System UI
Blueprint
Metaphores from architectural drawing and engineering schematics. Grid not as an invisible foundation but as the primary visual element
Schematic UI, Technical Style, Engineering Aesthetic, Grid UI
Sterile
Monochromatic, sans-serif, no visual noise: an interface that gets out of the way of whatever it's running.
Mono UI, Technical Minimal
New Utilitarian
Type sets the hierarchy, whitespace does the rest. Color and decoration only appear when they carry functional weight
Neo-Swiss, Type-Led Design, Functional Minimalism
